Our Story

We've been broadcasting from deep in the woods of Chesapeake VA since 2004, mainly as a programming source for radio stations. We have since been listed in radio directories such as TuneIn, so anyone who loves big band and 20s era music can listen.

The 1920s Network Production Room

Here's the 1920s control studio. We have been using the Stationplaylist Automation system since 2002, and use it throughout our facility

Our Beginnings:

The future site for The 1920s Radio Network. Groundbreaking in late 2003.

Production room under construction 2004

Computer room wire out

Finally...the new studio takes shape

Our Staff:

This is Lori, our Chief Financial Officer, seen here hosting a Bingo game. Though she never announces on-air, she states what can be spent on the station and for how much.

Here is the other Lori as she called herself. Lori is the one you hear doing the time, and old time radio announcements among others. She helped out with the programming until she was too sick to do so. Sadly the other Lori passed away at 32 from complications with cystic fibrosis in December of 2012.

This is Brian, Chief Engineer and Operator for the network. Seen here (with his drumsticks) in front of the master automation and stream encoding racks

And here's Heathcliff, our assistant engineer. He's in charge of the keyboards and all the studio mice.

This is Donna. She's in charge of web development and social media applications, and is also a long time listener of the network
